Boots In The Dust

A Legacy Written in Dust & Footprints
With over 40 years of combined experience across Africa, Wanderings of Africa was founded by expert guides Devon Myers and Grant Telfer, driven by a deep respect for nature, a love for storytelling, and the ancient rhythm of walking safaris.
We don’t just take you on a trail. We help you reconnect with the land, with the wild, and with yourself.
It Is More Than a Trail,
It’s a Return
With us, walking is not just how we explore the wild. It’s how we reconnect with it.
We believe the bush isn’t something to observe from a distance. It’s something we are part of. Our ancestors didn’t arrive in Africa. We evolved here, moving on foot through the same landscapes and alongside the same animals we now encounter. Walking this land isn’t new. It’s ancient.
Each trail is a return to that deeper connection. A shift from observer to participant. A reminder that we are not separate from nature, but an extension of it.

Discover Pafuri
In the far north of Kruger, where South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique meet, lies Pafuri, a remote, biodiverse wilderness steeped in history.
Set within the Makuleke Contractual Park, this region is shaped by ancient baobabs, glowing fever tree forests, and the life-giving Luvuvhu and Limpopo Rivers. At its edge sits Crooks Corner, a once-notorious outlaw hideaway, now a symbol of Pafuri’s untamed spirit.
Bordering two countries and rich in wildlife, culture, and legend, Pafuri is where Africa still feels truly wild.
